Cabrera at SOCCER Coach – WOSPAC
At SOCCER Coach we want to make a special mention of Santiago Cabrera, a young coach from Venezuela but based in New York, who has been enjoying the Catalan city of Barcelona and football for ten days thanks to WOSPAC. Santiago Cabrera is currently coach of various teams in the lower categories of the New York Red Bulls, an important MLS team where some famous players like Rafael Márquez, Thierry Henry and Juninho Prenambucano have played. He works with passion and says: “I love the game and I am very fortunate to play, train, live, feel, observe and enjoy football in Venezuela, Brazil, Portugal and the United States. The experiences I have gained in these soccer environments, culturally very different, have led me to work a philosophy of player development based on the game as the master.” His arrival in Barcelona is marked by a curious fact, that Santiago contacted our CEO, Alex Bosacoma through the social network: “I came to know WOSPAC and all it has to offer as I find it very interesting. The first contact with Alex came through Linkedin and the common interests were so many that I got the opportunity to come to Barcelona. And here I am. It is a pleasure, without any doubt.” Cabrera was able to experience firsthand the world of coach in Catalunya.“In these ten days I have been assisting Gonzalo, the Youth Team B coach of UE Cornellà, in all of pre-season training and some games and everything went really well. I am very impressed with the Cornellà and all they have to offer”, added the Venezuelan coach. For Cabrera it has been a very positive experience and a very positive impression. He is clearly aware that there is a great clash of cultures and views in the world of soccer. The way to understand the game is completely different and there are also different methodological visions: “The culture of soccer in Spain is highly developed and there is potential in the United States, not just in MLS, but in grassroots football, as there are many opportunities for future collaborations”. These are opportunities not to be missed. It is important to know them closely and to see how WOSPAC can help the development of soccer in the United States. Cabrera, when returning to the United States will also help Jaime Alonso, director of our franchise in the American country. Good luck my friend, keep in touch! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfJHAJneUUI
Didac signed by FCB – WOSPAC
WOSPAC is celebrating again but not to welcome a new member, but because our coach and video analyst Didac Soler starts a new professional adventure in sports with the big FC Barcelona. Didac Soler arrived WOSPAC to support the technical and tactical area in the soccer department, providing its expertise in specific monthly reports for each of the players that train in the program SOCCER Stages. It is a meticulous work of exhaustive analysis that has served the young players to discover their strengths and weaknesses, in order to improve day after day. In addition, Soler also prepared videos and highlight reports of the soccer players of the program WOSPAC Soccer Players, in order to be seen by team/coaches interested in them. It is a convenient visual reference to discover talents. Soler is very excited after his move to FC Barcelona: “This news is incredible and although it has not been easy to become part of this new project of FCB, I can say that the experience with WOSPAC has helped me a lot to take this step. I had a really good time and above all, I have now good friends from the world of professional soccer”. Soler has joined the tactical professional soccer training department of FC Barcelona (Barça B and Youth). He will continue doing what he likes best: analysis of matches to get information about and about the own team and the players of FCB. He will also record trainings and matches of the grassroots teams of FCB for further analysis, and surely much more. Didac, good luck, we will follow your steps!
Visit from Australia – WOSPAC
Dave Joseph, Director of WOSPAC Australia, visited last week the WOSPAC headquarters in Barcelona to work on the launch of the new project that WOrld SPort ACademy will run in the Australian cities Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. Dave Joseph met the CEO of WOSPAC, Alex Bosacoma, and the athletic staff to study how to implement best new ideas in the Australian country and how to optimize resources and its implementation to be more profitable. With the start of this new proposal, Joseph wants to help clubs, schools, colleges and universities in Australia to enjoy free stays for players, coaches and students in Barcelona. “We know it will be hard work and therefore we have to take care of every detail to achieve our goals. Despite this, I have no doubt, we will popularize WOSPAC throughout Australia” said Joseph during his meeting with Bosacoma. Thanks to this work, we set a strategy to position WOSPAC in the large Australian market and thus earn the reputation as a reference in the sports sector: WOSPAC offers and provides real training for athletes. A job that would not be possible without our partnerships with major organizations as the FFA (Football Federation Australia) that help to improve the players and coaches giving them the opportunity to continue and expand their training in the best clubs of Barcelona.
Visit of The Hill School
On a cold Monday-morning, the boys of the SOCCER Stages program played a new friendly match against an American football team: The Hill School from Pennsylvania. The game took place at the new head-field of UE Cornellà. At 8: 15h in the morning the game started with the low temperatura of 3 degrees Celcius. The USA team opened the score very early. After a good game of passing Jason Kyper scored the 1-0 in the 4th minute. In the following minutes, the international team of Wospac tested the keeper of The Hill School. The first goal of WOSPAC came in the 35th minute. Miraash dribbled perfectly and laid back on Habib. Habib scored the 1-1! WOSPAC was back in the game. This led to the end of the first half. The second 45 minutes began just like the first half. The Hill school team scored a goal in the first 5 minutes of the second half. Again an early lead for the American team. This time Ryan Wallace scored the goal. Every single guy of WOSPAC soccer stages, as well the new goal keeper (Paolo Da Costa), tried to re-tie the game. They fought hard but eventually there was no second goal of the Wospac stages team. Minutes later, the US team scored the third goal, Nico Besselaar was the goalscorer. The team from Sirvent and Morata was unable to turn the game. The unfortunate finishing ensured that WOSPAC not scored a second goal. The Hill School team scored one more time, via Ali Kenneh. He scored the final goal: 1-4. The guys will do better next time, we continue the hard work to improve!

Agreement in Nigeria – WOSPAC
We are pleased to announce that WOSPAC is still working in different areas around the world and has just signed a second agreement for collaboration in Africa. The first agreement was in Senegal, the second collaboration agreement reaches more than 2,500 kilometers away, particularly in Nigeria. This new agreement on the African continent isn’t a coincidence, as well as Alex Bosacoma CEO WOSPAC, the sports in Africa wants to break barriers in some countries, and gradually introduce and provide the necessary tools to develop football training. Currently there are few institutions that are working in Nigeria and, in turn, they have revealed new structures of work to train football talents. The Midtown Soccer School is one of the pioneering schools and longest forming athletes. Kayode Joshua Mobolaji, head of the school told us: “The Soccer School Midtown create direct links with professional clubs in the UK, US and Europe. We also offer training programs for the young community of players. This to give them the opportunity to improve and give them a chance, not only in our country but in the world.” Recently Korean children have visited WOSPAC. We hope that African boys and girls visit WOSPAC soon! All with the same goal, to offer unique experiences and provide options for Nigerian players to be part of a Spanish top club.
