Last week we had the pleasure to welcome the 9-year old soccer player Joao Rafael Saint Omer de Sá from Bermuda, who joined WOSPAC to take part in our 1-week SOCCER Stages program.

However, this was not the first time for him here in Barcelona, as he spent another week at our academy last year as well. He first had the chance to join us by participating in a WOSPAC Camp in Bermuda and he was among the 2 best players who got the opportunity a trip to Barcelona to experience our Soccer Stages program.

After this week, he seemed really happy and he is willing to return in the future. According to his father: “Being here at WOSPAC is always a great experience for Joao. He has the opportunity to get to know a totally new football culture that really differs from the one in Bermuda. Here the trainings are way tougher, there is no time to stop or to be lazy. That is how you can improve and be better and better.”

He mentioned that the Director of WOSPAC Bermuda, Kenny Thompson helped them a lot to realize this experience and they are really thankful for him. He added: “Now my son plays for another local team on the island, but from the next season we would like to join the WOSPAC team in Bermuda.”

Joao’s favourite soccer player is Cristiano Ronaldo, and he wants to become a professional player in the future. We hope that this experience with WOSPAC has been helpful for him and he can achieve his goals. Good luck Joao and see you soon!
